What We Offer

BARRIERS provides extensive educational resources and opportunities through our website to widen accessibility. This includes or flagship conference where Thai is an acceptable working language. We are in the process of updating and creating a new set of educational resources regarding MUN and international affairs. These will be gradually uploaded onto the website as they are completed.
Our
Services
01
MUN TRAINING
Barriers provide resources to help inexperienced delegates prepare for MUN conferences. We will be uploading a quick guide to MUNs as well as hosting introductory sessions at interested schools. Other documents regarding rules of procedure and other relevant skills will also be made available after we finish updating our resource page.
03
public speaking & Debate
Public speaking and debating skills are a key requirement for MUNs. We plan to provide introductory content regarding debating and public speaking so that delegates can succeed not only in MUN but also in other related activities.
05
CLUB RESOURCES
Setting up new MUN clubs can be a difficult task when there is a foreign language requirement to participate in MUNs. Barriers is prepared to support any new clubs by providing training and other necessary resources to start a new club.
02
information literacy
Research is an integral part of preparing for MUN conferences. Delegates should also be aware of international news and events. To help prospective delegates find credible sources about topics they're interested in, we provide resources and training about information literacy to enable them to select quality information sources.
04
Financial aid
We partner with local conferences to provide financial aid to cover the demonstrated needs of delegates who are attending MUN conferences. Subsidies between 25-75% are available to delegates to who demonstrate a clear financial need. If you conference is interested in providing such aid, please contact us to arrange a partnership.
06
TRANSLATED RESOURCES & conference IN THAI
To ensure that we fulfill our mission of breaking down language barriers in MUNs, we provide most resources in both Thai and English. The resources listed on this page are all aimed at providing a foundation for those that have previously excluded because of language barriers. Furthermore, we provide an annual conference Thai is used so that non-English speakers are represented.

Accessing our conferences and events
Our open-access events, available to all students regardless of school partnership, typically occur at least thrice a year. Spring Seminars: Are offered in concord with THAIMUN to help delegates who are preparing for the conference in March. BarrierMUN staff have also organized ESL and beginner committees at THAIMUN. Summer Seminars: BarrierMUN offers four session summer seminars that comprehensively cover all aspects of MUN. Seminars are always adjusted for ESL delegates and Thai sessions are also available if there is demand. These seminars are meant to be small and intimate, aimed at helping new ESL delegates improve quickly. Fall/Winter Sessions: BarrierMUN typically holds either one online ESL and Thai conference between October and December (if THAIMUN does not include an ESL committee the same year) or a two-part open access session to help new ESL delegates adjust as the academic year starts. Announcements for registration are done either through email to partner schools and clubs or through our Instagram page. BarrierMUN no longer conducts registration through this website.
